Delhi: Nizamuddin West – India | While exploring the "Nizamuddin West" district of Delhi, I spotted this woman resting in a large park. In the huge Indian metropolis there was an incredible heat and everyone tried to find a shady spot at one of the many historic buildings. During my trip through India I had to realize that great adventures are not only to be found in the wild nature, but also in the confrontation with a foreign culture. - Realized with Pictrs.comIsa Khan's Tomb - India | Isa Khan was a nobleman of the Sur dynasty, which ruled northern India in the 16th century. His mausoleum stands in one of Delhi's large parks. As I stepped inside the imposing building for a brief moment, the light of the sun shone impressively through the jali window onto the tomb. Above the window sat a dove watching me. - Realized with Pictrs.comDattatreya Temple - India | In the foothills of the Himalayas, surrounded by dense jungle and high mountains, is a small village called Haidakhan. There I spent a few weeks in an ashram and participated in the daily life, rituals and meditation. One night I climbed a nearby hill where there is a temple in honor of the god Dattatreya. There was a new moon. Such a distance from civilization offered me a unique view of the Milky Way, which was exactly in line with the top of the temple. - Realized with Pictrs.com18_Haidakhan_Main_Temple_POSTER | Online shop for print and download versions of my photos: small format, poster, canvas, postcard or even photo cup. - Realized with Pictrs.com
